Radio over IP with SNV-12 Voter/Comparator

Connect 600Ω Analog and Dry Contact from the radio receivers at each tower. Through the support of the fiber optic ring or Ethernet network, the JumboSwitch at the Central Office can then hand off signals to the SNV-12 Voter/Comparator where it would then pick up the clearest radio signal from the field radios and pass it to the intercom.

Analog over IP Solutions for Public Safety Networks

Upgrading radio communications networks is a common priority today. Reasons include equipment obsolescence, reliability degradation, and expansion difficulties, even for simple point to point links.

This presentation will feature three specialized case studies discussing advanced Analog over IP solutions for upgrading, expanding, and increasing reliability to Public Safety radio networks.

• First, a Midwest multi-county Public Safety Agency used its existing SONET network to prevent downtime as it upgraded to a modern multi-service Ethernet radio, telephone and data network.
• Two other case studies illustrate analog over IP leased line replacement and RoIP network upgrade solutions.
