IRVINE,
CA-----Featuring recovery times of less than 250 milliseconds,
the new Self-Healing Ring Ethernet Fiber Optic Switch from TC
Communications provides fully redundant communications for
Ring Topology networks. If a fiber or device failure occurs,
the data path automatically “Self Heals” to the secondary path
to maintain link integrity.
The
TC3720
Ethernet Switch offers an Industrial-Hardened option (-40oC
to 80oC) and supports distances up to 100km. It
provides six independent Ethernet 10/100M Auto-Sensing UTP
ports and two fiber optic 100Base-FX ports. It is IEEE 802.3,
802.3u, 802.3x compliant, available multimode or single mode
(1300/1550nm) and supports full or half-duplex operation.
A Web-based configuration user interface is
provided to view and change network settings such as IP
Address, Subnet, Gateway, Speed, Half/Full Duplex, Name,
Password and other parameters. It also monitors the fiber
ring status, alarm conditions, and fault locations for local
and remote units. It can also be configured through an
out-of-band serial console.
The TC3720 is available in three temperature
versions. The “Industrial-Hardened” version supports ranges
from -40oC to 80oC and exceeds all
pertinent Utility and Traffic Control environmental and
temperature specifications. The standard version supports
temperature ranges from -10oC to 50oC;
the “Hi-Temp” version supports ranges from -20oC to
70oC.
