IRVINE, CA ----A new T1/E1 Fiber Optic Modem that provides a variety of innovative features is now available from TC Communications. The Model TC1630 is available Rack Mount or Standalone in both multimode and single mode (850/1300/1550nm). Starting list price is $795.

The TC1630‘s innovative features include dual Detachable Terminal Block and RJ-45 (RJ-48C) connectors, 22 diagnostic LEDs, “hot-swappable” cards, long distance version up to 80 km. and an extreme temperature version (-20^oC to 70^oC).

Standard features include Multiple Power Options (12/24/-48VDC & 115/230VAC), No Jitter, Power Redundancy, Optical Redundancy (optional), Local & Remote Loopback, Low Current Consumption (300mA) and a Local Dry Contact Alarm Relay.

The TC1630 T1/E1 Fiber Modem is frequently used in campus networks to provide a fiber interface for metallic T1/E1 Multiplexers and to link Channel Banks, PBX’s, M13 Multiplexers to DSX-1 Cross Connects and Customer Premise Equipment to CSU/DSUs.
